Drafting the product

The first thing we do when you come to us is listen. Most people come with a more or less concrete idea of what they want. You might have concrete requirements for measures and dimensions, you might have a very specific design in mind, maybe you have seen something or you know what wood type you cherish.

Once we have understood those parameters from you, we will jointly with you develop a first sketch. We will help you select wood type and design pattern (if any), take the measures and collect all information we need to make an offer to you.

Depending on how specific your request is, you will get an indicative pricing and approximate duration for production and delivery.

Preparing the offer

Based on the information we gained in the discussion with you, we will now prepare a more detailed sketch and verify if with our wood providers and carpenters whether what you selected is available and can be produced. Some designs work only on large dimensions.

Once we have all this information, we will then calculate the price also considering the indicative pricing we have provided to you during our meeting.

At last we will verify shipping options, cost and timelines.

Next, you will receive an offer from us including all of the above information. Up to this point our service is free of charge for you.

Manufacturing

Assuming you have accepted our offer, we will then transmit all required information to our wood providers and carpenters. From the earlier step of verification they would of course already have an idea about the request.

After the wood has been delivered to the carpenter, the process of manufacturing for your unique piece of furniture starts.

In parallel we will make all the necessary preparations for the shipping.

When half of the time for production is reached, we will also provide you with an update about progress and inform you again about the timelines.

Shipping & Delivery

The final step before the final product reaches you, is the shipping. We are usually dispatching the goods from a so called dry port in India, from where they will be transported along with other items to Hamburg by vessel. The average duration from the time the items leave the dry port till Hamburg is 4-6 weeks.Once the ship is on its way, we can track the route and agree with you on planned delivery date. Other shipping types for individual items can be selected on need basis but will increase charges.

From Hamburg our Swiss importer will take care of customs clearing and transport to our storage in Switzerland.

At last, we agree on exact date for delivery or pickup from our storage. For products where final fixing is required, we will involve a local Swiss carpenter.

Assuming you have accepted our offer, we will then transmit all required information to our wood providers and carpenters. From the earlier step of verification they would of course already have an idea about the request.
